We are seeking a qualified and experienced support teacher for our son who is 9 years old with Cerebral Palsy and in grade 3 at the International School of Leuven.
Description of tasks (to be performed within the school environment):
• Communication: assisting him in using his communication Keyboard;
• Supporting classroom teacher in working with him in class as well as lunch feeding.
Job requirements:
• An open and flexible mind with a strong belief in the potential of children with special needs is a must;
• Good command of the English language (main language), knowledge of Dutch is a plus;
• Experience in working with children with special needs; and
• Experience as a school personal assistant.
Part time position (20 hours per week- 5 days a week).
Starting date: April 2025 (long term contract including over the summer and next school year) – competitive pay based on experience.
